Restaurant Manager -TAP HOUSE Sports Bar

Reports To: Director Food & Beverage

SUMMARY: The Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the restaurant, including the hiring and staffing of the restaurant, menu creation, quality control, and positive guest relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain general cleanliness and organization in the restaurant.
Delegate work to employees.
Create staff schedules.
Responsible for controlling inventory, P&L, labor, Food and Beverage cost of restaurant.
Knowledge of IPA and Craft Beer types, Styles, Glassware, and Characteristics.
Evaluate and discipline all employees as needed.
Coach and Train Staff.
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
Assist in resolving guest complaints and promotes positive guest relations.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be available for scheduled work.
Must exhibit the Thoughtful Service model at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises the staff of the Restaurant. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tropicana Entertainment's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a similar food Restaurant, hotel or casino atmosphere.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, AES card, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
