Special Events Worker- Part Time

Hourly/Salary: Hourly
MUST BE 21 TO WORK IN THIS POSITION
SUMMARY: The Special Events Worker is responsible for assisting with the coordination of all special events, working the registrations and tournaments or any other special events as needed. They will maintain a positive working relationship with all the departments and team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with the coordination of all entertainment and gaming tournaments.
Attends pre and post event planning meetings with appropriate departments relative to
property interface functions.
Assists in the financial and operational analysis of special event programs to determine
their future viability.
Responsible for assisting with the overall management and coordination of events,
including money-handling.
Prepares and submits any necessary documentation (license, permit, etc.) for a specific
special event to the correct authorities.
Coordinates special events with all other various operational departments.
Must be available for scheduled work.
Must exhibit the Thoughtful Service model at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Six months preferred experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to possess and maintain a Nevada gaming registration and valid drivers license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
