Banquet Porter- P/T

Hourly/Salary: Hourly
Must be at least 21 years of age.
SUMMARY: The Banquet Set-Up Porter is responsible for the set up and break down of all Banquet functions per the Event Order.
Perform set up and break down of all banquet functions per the event order in a timely
and efficient manner.
Ensures that set up and break downs are done in a timely and efficient manner and that
the banquet event order specifications for set up and arrangement are followed and
completed properly.
Maintain the organization, cleanliness and security of the Banquet storage area and
general guest areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Banquet Supervisor/Manager.
Must be available for scheduled work.
Must exhibit Thoughtful Service model at all times.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent required. One to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to obtain any and all required State, County or Local registrations and/or licenses, if required.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English to guests and other employees. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with weight measurements, volume and distance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
