Field Archaeologist/Field Technician

Job Description

Experienced field technicians for an upcoming project in the Southern Nevada area starting immediately. The project is scheduled to last one week, with the potential for future work following this opportunity. The ability to travel and work on short notice is necessary. There may be short periods of down time in between projects. Hourly wage based on CRM experience. Employment package includes: single occupancy hotel rooms for duration of fieldwork, travel and food compensation as policy guidelines, paid holidays as per policy guidelines, and health insurance as per corporate program.

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Travel is necessary could be away from home for a few weeks at a time.
  • Be able to respond and head out to field on short notice.
  • Minimum requirements include participation in an archaeological field school and a Bachelors degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field.
  • The successful candidates will be self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to follow instructions from their crew chief.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
