SUMMARY: The Poolside Cafe Supervisor provides friendly and courteous service to guests and supervises, directs and provides support to the staff of the restaurant.
Maintain general cleanliness and organization in the Poolside Cafe.
Delegate work to employees.
Evaluate and discipline all employees as needed.
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
Assist in resolving guest complaints.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be available for scheduled work.
Must exhibit the Thoughtful Service model at all times.
Directly supervises the staff of the Poolside Cafe. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tropicana Entertainment's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel or casino atmosphere.
Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Basic computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
