Steakhouse Manager

SUMMARY: The Manager of the Steakhouse is responsible for the efficient operation of the restaurant, including the hiring and staffing of the restaurant, menu creation, quality control, and positive guest relations.
Maintain general cleanliness and organization in the restaurant.
Delegate work to employees.
Create staff schedules.
Responsible for inventory of restaurant food products and supplies.
Evaluate and discipline all employees as needed.
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
Assist in resolving guest complaints and promotes positive guest relations.
Other duties as assigned.
Directly supervises the staff of the Steakhouse. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tropicana Entertainment's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, must have minimum of 2 years experience in a full service fine and casual dining restaurant as manager. Demonstrated ability to make an impact by increasing sales through operations, marketing and service excellence. Must have strong front of house management and exceptional guest service standards. Must have strong financials/operations (leadership) experience and be marketing savvy. Corporate background with entrepreneur spirit, be self-motivated, strong integrity, a team player and think outside the box. Must have knowledge of continental, steakhouse and Italian cuisine, wine knowledge and menu writing ability. an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel or casino atmosphere.
Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Basic computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
