Job Description
Maintain standards of excellence throughout the hotel which includes cleaning, meeting guest needs, supplying products to GRAs and working as a team with other job classifications with Housekeeping.
6 months experience preferred Housekeeping related work, High school education preferred.
Minimum age requirement is 18.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wash, and clean all surfaces and areas within reach of the ground
Pick up loose trash in all areas and dispose of same to central receptacles
Deliver and retrieve special request items to/from guestrooms.
Pick up soiled linen from maids carts and dispose of same down linen chute
Load soiled linen from chute into hampers for cleaning company pick-up
Replenish inventory and issue all regularly used Housekeeping supplies
Prepare bedspreads and Draperies for shipment to dry cleaners; receive and inventory, maintain and store same when returned from dry cleaners
Replace light bulbs burnt out in Guest rooms
Practice positive customer relations
Perform other duties as neededPHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly walking (unlimited distance all day), using wrist motions, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling (vacuum: approximately 20 lbs, soiled linen from maid cart to linen chute: approximately 20 ? 150 lbs, soiled linen from chute to hamper: approximately 20lbs ? all day, unlimited times), handling, lifting/carrying (trash: approximately 10 lbs, iron/ironing boards: approximately 15 lbs, soiled linen from maid carts: approximately 20 ? 150 lbs, soiled linen from chute into hampers: approximately 20 lbs, Housekeeping supplies: approximately 15 lbs, bedspreads and draperies: approximately 20 lbs ? unlimited times throughout the day), reaching, twisting, while sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, washing, and cleaning all areas within reach of the floor, picking up trash, delivering special request items to guest rooms, picking up and loading soiled linen, replenish inventory and guest room amenities, preparing for dry-cleaning and storing bedspreads and draperies, replacing light bulbs.
Knowledge and use of basic reading, writing, color skills to send bedspreads and draperies to be dry-cleaned and which rooms they were removed from, keeping track of special requests items delivered to guest rooms and for writing which rooms that lights and filters have been changed.
Must be able to communicate with guests, fellow employees, and supervisors and understand procedures.
Mental alertness to achieve high level of accuracy in completing tasks.WORKING CONDITIONS
Work performed indoors, in climate controlled environment.
Hazards: Exposure to cleaning chemicals and electricity.
Equipment: Mops, vacuums, chemicals, pen/pencil, paper, beeper/radio
Work with others.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
